Jakson Resorts Jim Corbett – A peaceful abode for your next vacation!
Forests
have a charm to them like none other. With Jim Corbett being the
closest of the forest for people living in the NCR region, it is usually
flocked over the weekends. For all nature lovers, national parks have a
lot of offers when it comes to experiencing the natural habitat. The
silence of the jungles along with the paw marks on the roads do make us
shiver when we are crossing a jungle. All this can be exciting and fun
if we are following the rules of the jungle and not causing any harm to
the natural habitat. To experience this thrill, Jim Corbett National
Park located in the Ramnagar district of Uttarakhand can be your best
pick during the winters as the weather is favorable for safaris and
outdoor activities. We visited Jim Corbett over the weekend at the onset
of winters and stayed Jakson Resort. Our experience of staying with
them was charmingly good as the resort is a perfect spot for those
looking for peace in the jungle. Here are the reasons why we loved
staying with Jakson Resorts Jim Corbett, a peaceful abode in Uttarakhand.

Location of Jason Resort Jim Corbett:
Located
at a distance of fewer than 10 km from Ramnagar, this resort is in the
middle of the forest. On our arrival at the resort in the night, we
found a family of deer outside our resort. Watching the animals so close
to us strengthened our decision of making the right choice. The
distance between Ramnagar Railway Station and the resort can be covered
in 20 mins by car. One can easily travel from Delhi to Ramnagar by a
train or by self-drive as both the options are comfortable. The distance
between Delhi and Ramnagar is around 250km which can be covered in less
than 6 hours.

Rooms at Jakson Resort:
We
were staying in a cottage at the resort. The cottage was nicely built
with all the latest amenities. The layout of the room was perfect as it
had a separate dressing section to it. The room was sparkling clean
which actually brought a smile to our face.

There
was also a small seating area outside the cottage which we utilized for
having our breakfast enjoying the cool breeze and the view of nature.
All the rooms were cozy ensuring a comfortable stay for us.

Jakson Resort is full of activities in and around it. Here are a few things you should look forward to during your next stay:Outdoor Activities:

jungle safari. There are safaris both in the morning and evening with

best men in the job. During our Safari in the Sitamani range, we could
not spot a tiger, however, we did spot other birds and animals like
peacock, deer, wild bore and monkey among others.

2) Nature Walks:
Jakson
Resort has specialized naturalists who love to take you out on a nature
walk and explain to you about the surroundings. The knowledge of the
naturalist about the flora and fauna in the region will leave you
spellbound. You also get to interact with the locals and listen to their
stories of spotting different animals in the vicinity.
3) River Crossing:
Experience
the fun of actually crossing the river as to get to cross the stream of
Kosi river which flows next to the resort. Coupled with good weather,
you can also have lunch by the river organized by the resort at an
additional cost giving you a complete picnic feel.
4) Cycling:
The
resort offers cycles to its guests who would like to move around the
area on their own. One can enjoy the beauty of nature as you wander
through the surrounding areas. However, it is always advised to be
accompanied by a local when moving in the area.

Machaan is truly breathtaking and it will make you fall more in love
with The Tiger Groove resort.

Jungle Safari in Jim Corbett National Park:
To explore the dense forest of the national park area, it is recommended to book your safari for the Jhirna or Dhikala ranges. Read more about our Jhirna Range Safari from our last visit to Jim Corbett here. You
can also book your safari for the different ranges here. It is
recommended to book your safaris for the national park ranges like
Jhirna and Dhikala well in advance (45 days prior) as they allow only a
limited number of vehicles during the safari.

What to pack for a jungle safari in winters?
If you
are visiting Jim Corbett during winters it is very important to pack
wisely for the safari. As the mornings and evenings are cold, traveling
in an open jeep can be quite cold in the jungle. With almost no sunlight
and heat, your body starts shivering if you aren’t loaded well. We
recommend you to wear a warmer and layer yourself up with a cotton
t-shirt followed by a pullover/jacket that can be worn as per need. It
is very important to cover your ears and nose with mufflers/caps and
masks respectively to beat the chilly winds of the forest.
